How We Review Content and Pricing Data

Insurance guides are only useful when the numbers in them are real. This page explains where our pricing data comes from, how often we re-check it, who is responsible for accuracy, and what to do if you spot a mistake.
Where our pricing data comes from
When an article shows a premium, we did not copy it from a brochure. We collect quotes directly from insurers' own quote engines — including DCare Medical, Bupa Global, AXA Global Healthcare, Allianz Care, Trust (TruCare), Eurolife, and Cosmos — for defined ages, coverage tiers, and areas of cover, and we record the date each quote was pulled.
Where a price cannot be pulled from a public quote tool, we use written quotes issued through our own brokerage work and present them as ranges rather than exact figures.
How often we re-check prices and facts
Every guide shows its publication or last-updated date. Pages built on live pricing — health insurance comparisons, the pet, car, and liability calculators — are re-checked against the insurers' quote engines regularly, and fast-moving pages are prioritised.
Regulatory changes (new laws, GeSY contribution rates, immigration insurance requirements) trigger an out-of-cycle review of every affected page.
Who writes and who reviews
Content is written by the DigiCare team led by co-founder Paul Bendzik. Insurance facts, coverage descriptions, and regulatory statements are reviewed by Costas Matheou, a licensed insurance agent registered with the Cyprus Insurance Companies Control Service (ICCS).
DigiCare operates as a licensed insurance intermediary in Cyprus, supervised by the Superintendent of Insurance under Law 35(I)/2002.
Our sources and linking policy
We cite official sources: Cyprus government departments (gov.cy), the Superintendent of Insurance, GeSY/HIO, EUR-Lex, and recognised professional bodies. We do not link to other insurance sellers; when we reference a competitor's price, it comes from their public quote tool and is recorded with the date we collected it.
Statistics are attributed to the regulator or primary source whenever one exists.
