COVERAGE
What Road Assistance Covers
Standard Services (All Providers)
Spare parts, fuel, and oil are always at the customer's expense. The service itself is covered; the materials are not.
Unique Benefits by Provider
AIG
AIG's road assistance is provided through Road Service and covers vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). AIG is the only provider that explicitly covers the British Sovereign Base Areas (Akrotiri and Dhekelia), which is worth knowing if you live or work near those zones.
Eurosure
Eurosure partners with Rescueline for road assistance. Their service includes recovery from off-road situations (mud, snow, water, sand). One thing to be aware of: Eurosure limits usage to 2 calls per insurance period, except in the case of accidents. Vehicles immobilized for more than 90 days are not covered.
Cosmos Insurance
Cosmos works with Odyky, one of the oldest road assistance providers in Cyprus (founded in 1987). Odyky aims to respond within 30 minutes in urban areas and covers Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos, Famagusta, and Troodos. Cosmos also coordinates windscreen claims with up to a 25% discount on repairs.
Trust Insurance
Trust stands out with its "If You Drink, Don't Drive" benefit: a free ride home if you've been drinking (conditions apply). You call the same number (77 77 81 07) and they arrange transport. Road assistance is included with comprehensive policies and described as optional coverage for third-party policies.

GUIDE
What to Do if Your Car Breaks Down in Cyprus
Follow these steps to stay safe and get help quickly:
Move to a safe location
Pull over to the hard shoulder or a side road if possible. Turn off the engine.
Turn on your hazard lights
This warns other drivers that your vehicle is stationary.
Place your warning triangle
Position it 50 to 100 metres behind your vehicle on the same side of the road.
Call your insurer's road assistance number
Have your policy number ready. The operator will ask for your location, vehicle details, and the nature of the problem.
If there are injuries or the road is blocked, call 112
This is the general emergency number. It works from any phone, including mobiles without a SIM card.
Do not sign any documents without reading them
If a tow truck arrives that you did not call, verify who sent them before agreeing to anything.
For no-injury accidents, exchange details with the other driver
Take photos, note registration numbers, and report the incident to your insurer.
