The Insurance Companies Control Service (Cyprus Ministry of Finance) supervises the company under the Insurance and Reinsurance Services and Other Related Issues Laws of 2016 to 2020 (Cap. 35). The licence covers 12 statutory Cyprus general-insurance classes: 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 16. Trust is not life-licensed. The same authorisation extends to 18 other EU member states under the Freedom of Services regime.

Trust was founded internationally in 1990. The Cyprus operation entered the market in August 2009. Trust's own company profile describes the operation as part of the Nest Group of Companies.
